Simply press the button located on the side of the unit, after the green and red LEDs extinguish, pass the device over the note from left to right, the green LED will light up along with a beep confirming the authenticity of the note. The magnetic strip of the note will be visible in red color. If it appears in blue, the note is suspicious.
